Cybernexa is a spin-off from The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) Singapore, specifically from the research arm Data Storage Institute. Founded by A*Star researchers, the company operates in the cyber-security domain, offering innovative Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) solution, termed CyLock, for online services. CyLock is a modern MFA solution that utilizes rich capabilities of smart devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to offer secure, user-friendly and cost-effective MFA to solve the authentication and authorization needs of enterprises. Existing solutions, such as hardware tokens/dongles, SMS OTPS, Soft OTPs etc. are increasingly being compromised by sophisticated cyber-attacks such as Phishing, SMS malwares and many other social engineering techniques. Besides offering sub-standard security, traditional solutions have also proven to be cumbersome to deploy and administer, expensive as well as being un-friendly to use. CyLock employs advanced patented-pending Out-of-Band (OOB) secure channel communication to overcome these modern cyber threats - offering best-in-class security without the drudgery and cost of traditional 2FA. CyLock has 4 PCT patent-pending applications to date.
