HWA seeks to provide an all-rounded learning environment that emphasises a balance of competencies in the English and Mandarin languages, as well as in both academic and moral outcomes. Every parent whose child walks from our school gates can expect that they will be equipped with the necessary language, technical, and people skills to adapt to challenges and rapid changes of globalisation. Newly renamed and furthering the Sino-tradition of the Chinese International School, HWA is a forward-looking institution that also believes in multicultural diversity. It is this emphasis on knowledge of and interaction with peoples from all walks of life that cultivates intercultural awareness and rectitude—critical skills to navigate the 21st century workplace. We are a very niche, community-based academy. Our smallstudent body and class sizes allow us to focus not only on everyday operations, but also on each student.
