Our logo hopes to inspire, and signifies the unity among our students. The 'chilli padis'​ represent our dauntless endeavour to extend the reach and range of our ambitions and hopes for the greater society - spicy, jaunty, but always well-loved. The duality of the 'chilli padis'​ also represent our strong interpersonal skills and how we are never truly alone in our community. The word mark is configured to reflect modernity and conveys a subtle hint of futuristic clarity, which associates cutting-edge research and scholarship to the school and its undergraduates. Academic Trademark academic events are organized to ensure that the student cohort have the necessary information to make informed decisions with regard to degree planning and choosing your majors and future careers. Such events like the 'Major Decision Talks'​, Career Fairs and Industry Visits allows the current faculty members and industry partners to share their insights with the cohort on various majors offered by SOSS, as well as their working experiences. Events To make the SMU experience exciting, SOSCIETY plans events that not only allow the current batch to undertake leadership roles but to create a platform for the cohort to bond. Some of the upcoming events planned are the annual Freshman Orientation Camp and the Light's Run. In addition, welfare drives are planned to ensure that the social sciences students are well taken care of. During welfare drives, students can collect food and drinks to enjoy while going for classes or studying.
