National Eastern Technology Transfer Centre (NETC) is an agency under China's Ministry of Science and Technology and the Government of Shanghai. Promoted by Shanghai Association of Science and Technology, NETC co-ordinate technology transfer related works. NETC China is based in Shanghai Yangpu District Bay Valley Tech Park, a National Innovation pilot spot. It is a fully functional and a sound-environmental technology transfer platform which promotes technology transfer through a series of industrial upgrading of enterprises, cultivating a professional team of technology transfer and international mergers and acquisitions. The establishment of NETC Singapore Hub responds to the calls Belt and Road Initiative which highlighted the strategic position of Singapore among ASEAN countries in the maritime Silk Road. NETC Singapore hub is the first technology transfer entity set up by the Chinese government in Singapore, it aims to promote innovation in Science & Technology between the two countries.
